Reginald Rascon, a native Arizonan, was introduced to firearms at a young age by his father, a disabled Vietnam veteran. From the time he was six years old, he was taught not only how to shoot, but also the importance of safety, responsibility, and respect for firearms. Born in Douglas, Arizona in the late 1970s, Reginald also grew up wit
Reginald Rascon, a native Arizonan, was introduced to firearms at a young age by his father, a disabled Vietnam veteran. From the time he was six years old, he was taught not only how to shoot, but also the importance of safety, responsibility, and respect for firearms. Born in Douglas, Arizona in the late 1970s, Reginald also grew up with a deep understanding of the unique challenges families face living near the U.S.–Mexico border.
During his time with the Arizona National Guard, Reginald had the honor of training alongside the Guard’s shooting team, an experience that sharpened his marksmanship and instructional abilities. He continued to serve 15 years in the U.S. Army, where he further advanced his skills and broadened his expertise. Along the way, he began sharing his knowledge with families, teaching safe and effective firearm practices for personal protection—an effort that ultimately led to the founding of Wild West Defense Consulting.
A lifelong outdoorsman and former Boy Scout, Reginald has always believed in preparation and community service. As an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, he now focuses on providing practical, down-to-earth training that empowers individuals and families to feel confident and secure. His mission is simple: to teach families how to protect what matters most in a safe, responsible, and approachable way.
